Another purpose of the prototype boards was to check out a new manufacturer, and the quality was found to be very good, especially considering the price. | MicroStepping Voltage Controlled Oscillator Category: Sound Sources and Modifiers The JEuCVO is a very basic sound source. It provides game-style digitally generated soundwaves. Even though it is quite inexpensive, the module feature quite a punch. Frequency control is standard 1V/Octave using CV input. The module also feature a trigger input. A knob provides frequency tuning. Furthermore, you can expand the module to have up to three totally independent modules packed into one 6 HP front panel. This module can be used to rapidly expand your sound creation needs. The standard price is for 1 module equipped, option price is per expansion module. Alternatively, you can buy a fully equipped module for a discount. Since this module is declared open source, all schematics and pcb design documents are freely available together with firmware source code and compiled firmware. The documents are not yet available since the module is still in early development, but check back later for more information! This module will be available as a fully assembled module later on. It is very simple in design, and that is why the price is so appealing. The module span 4 octaves by default, but can be switched to 8 octaves with lower resolution by a selector switch behind the curtains. The price can be pressed low since the same board is used for several other modules as well, only different population of components. Therefore, you could basically modify a module on your own to create another type of module (warranty expires) and programming the processing unit with custom firmware. There are plans to feature custom orders later on, where you can specify what kind of modules you want to combine on your 6 HP front panel. However, this requires a larger array of front panels to be designed to fulfill the need, hence it may come later down the line.
